The JDS property is located in Denay Valley, just east of the Rocky Hills in Eureka County, Nevada. The property consists of 77 unpatented claims (JDS 46-77 and LGC 1-45) 100% owned by Carlin Gold subject to a __2__% NSR. The claims are located in sections 14, 15, 22 and 23, T25N, R50E, MDBM. 1% can be bought for $1Million.
The property is entirely covered by late Tertiary sedimentary rocks and Quaternary alluvium. The nearest basement rock exposure consists of Devonian carbonates which crop out in the Rocky Hills — 2 km west of the claim block. Exposures of Devonian carbonates in the Rocky Hills exhibit numerous gold and antimony prospects. The available gravity data indicate a prominent gravity high under the northwest portion of the property, which is interpreted to be a buried basement block of Devonian carbonates. Preliminary mercury soil gas data indicate a substantial plume of mercury emanating from basement rocks in the northwest portion of the property (see Figure 1). The mercury soil gas anomaly is coincident with the gravity high.
The primary target is “blind” Carlin-style sediment-hosted gold mineralization in Devonian carbonate rocks at depth below post-mineral cover. The JDS property is a high quality untested “pediment play” along the Battle Mountain-Eureka Trend.
